BPS-Statistics of Bulungan Regency and Apung Village Achieved the Best Desa Cantik Award in 2021

Jakarta, December 6th 2021 - BPS-Statistics of Bulungan Regency and the Government of Apung Village attended the 2021 Best 10 Desa Cinta Statistik (Cantik) Awards at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta. At the event, BPS-Statistics of Bulungan Regency received an award as a Work Unit with the Best Management and Output in the 2021 Cinta Statistics 100 Village Program. In addition, the Government of Apung Village also received an award as one of the 10 Best Villages in the 100 Desa Cantik program. The award was directly carried out by the Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa and the Head of BPS-RI, Margo Yuwono.

BPS awarded the 10 Best Beautiful Villages in 2021 as an effort to achieve one target for the 2019-2024 RPJMN development, namely realizing independent villages that support national development. Desa Cantik Program was started by BPS in February 2021 for 100 selected villages in Indonesia, one of which was the Apung village in Bulungan Regency. The program aims to improve the competence of village officials in data management and utilization, so that village development planning can be more targeted. Desa Cantik program in Apung Village carries the theme of making a Village Monograph Book and Transferring Statistical Business Process Knowledge to village statistical agents.

It is hoped that the Beautiful Village program in Apung Village can be imitated by other villages in Bulungan Regency.
