Abstract

Bulungan Regency's Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2023 is 4.54 percent
The number of labor force in August 2023 was 86,492 people, an increase of 22,005 people compared to August 2022. The increase in the number of labor force was also accompanied by an increase in the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) of 7.62 percentage points compared to August 2022.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2023 was 4.54 percent, down 0.49 percentage points compared to August 2022.
The working population is 82,563 people, an increase of 21,321 people compared to August 2022. Employment opportunities that experienced a percentage increase are the Services Sector (3.09 percentage points) and the Manufacturing Sector (0.44 percentage points). Meanwhile, the Agricultural Sector experienced a decline of 3.53 percentage points.
A total of 41,607 people (50.39 percent) worked in informal activities and as many as 40,956 people (49.61 percent) worked in formal activities in August 2023.
In August 2023, the working population will still be dominated by those with elementary school education or below, namely 33.88 percent.
