Abstract

Total of Labor Force in August 2022 was 64,487 people, a decrease of 3,759 compared to August 2021. Decrease of Labor Force was followed by a decrease in the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) of 4.38 percentage points compared to August 2021.

August 2022 Unemployment Rate was 5.03 percent, increased 0.49 percentage points compared to August 2021.

Working population was 61,242 people, a decrease of 3,904 people compared to August 2021. Main industry that experienced an increase in percentage were the Service Sector (2.43 percent point) and the Manufacturing Sector (1.38 percent point). Meanwhile, the agricultural sector decreased by 3.81 percentage points.

There are 2,672 people (2.66 percent of the working age population) affected by COVID-19. The composition of the working age population affected by COVID-19 all comes from working residents who have experienced reduced working hours due to COVID-19.
