Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for star hotels and other accommodations in Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2021 was 20.97 percent or an increase of 2.11 points compared to the ROR in July 2021 which was recorded at 18.86 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for star hotels in Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2021 was 41.03 percent, an increase of 7.96 points compared to July 2021 TPK which was 33.07 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for non-star hotels/other accommodations in Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2021 was 14.42 percent, an increase of 0.38 points compared to July 2021 TPK which was 14.03 percent.
The number of foreign tourist visits in August 2021 was recorded at 27,790 visits, a decrease of 2,133 visits compared to the previous month which reached 29,923 visits.
Cumulatively, the number of foreign tourists visiting Kalimantan Utara Province in the January – August 2021 period reached 219,957 visits, while during January – August 2020 it reached 276,007 visits.
Sea transportation passengers departing decreased from 9,591 people to 6,432 people in August 2021. The number of goods loaded increased from 751,010 tons to 955,117 tons in August 2021.
The number of airplanes departing from the airport in Kalimantan Utara Province was recorded to have fallen from 291 to 285 flights in August 2021. The number of departing passengers fell from 7,095 to 4,855 people in August 2021.
