Abstract

Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for star hotels and other accommodations in Kalimantan Utara Province in May 2021 was 23.07 percent or decreased by 2.54 points compared to ROR in April 2021 which was recorded at 25.61 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for star hotels in Kalimantan Utara Province in May 2021 was 34.34 percent, a decrease of 6.30 points compared to April 2021 TPK which was 40.64 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for non-star hotels/other accommodations in Kalimantan Utara Province in May 2021 was 19.39 percent, a decrease of 0.97 points compared to April 2021 ROR which was 20.36 percent.
The number of foreign tourist visits in May 2021 was recorded at 33,190 visits, an increase of 9,457 visits compared to the previous month which reached 23,733 visits.
Cumulatively, the number of foreign tourists visiting Kalimantan Utara Province in the January – May 2021 period reached 138,044 visits, while during January – May 2020 it reached 169,280 visits.
Sea transportation passengers departing decreased from 13,265 people to 10,984 people in May 2021. The number of goods loaded increased from 828,781 tons to 1,181,319 tons in May 2021.
The number of aircraft departing from the airport in Kalimantan Utara Province was recorded to have increased from 359 to 386 flights in May 2021. The number of departing passengers decreased from 23,668 to 19,707 people in May 2021.
