Abstract

Economy of Bulungan Regency based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at the current QI-2021 price reached Rp 4.78 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 2.90 trillion.

Economy of Bulungan Regency in the first quarter of 2021 against the first quarter of 2020 contracted 1.88 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, growth was driven by several business fields, with the highest being Health Services and Social Activities at 8.90 percent and Information and Communication at 6.78 percent.

Economy of Bulungan Regency in the first quarter of 2021 against the fourth quarter of 2020 grew by 0.52 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, growth was caused by an increase in several business fields, the largest being the Mining and Excavation business field of 6.35 percent and Health Services and Social Activities by 2.95 percent.

In spatial terms, the economic growth of Kalimantan Utara Province in the first quarter of 2021 grew by 0.49 percent. The increase in growth is mainly due to the economic growth of all Regency/Municipality. The highest growth occurred in Tana Tidung Regency, 1.64 percent; followed by Nunukan 0.94 percent; Malinau Regency 0.81 percent; Bulungan Regency 0.52 percent; and Tarakan Municipality with 0.38 percent.

In Kalimantan Utara Province, the economic contribution was still dominated by Tarakan Municipality, 38.3 percent and the lowest was Tana Tidung Regency, 5.8 percent.
