Abstract

Human development in the health sector through the health index is represented by the Life Expectancy Rate (AHH). AHH can be used as a tool to evaluate government performance in improving the welfare of the population in general, and improving health status in particular. Over the last five years, Bulungan Regency's AHH has continued to increase from year to year. In 2018, Bulungan Regency's AHH was recorded at 72.55 and continued to increase until 2022 at 72.76. In this case, the AHH for Bulungan Regency is 72 to 73, meaning that babies born before that year (2018-2022) will live to be 72 or 73 years old. An increase in AHH indicates an increase in the level of public health. From AHH, the Health Index number will be obtained. This health index number will later become a component of calculating the HDI. In 2022, Bulungan Regency's health index will be 81.17. This figure has increased compared to 2021 which was 81.13.
