Abstract

  • The number of poor people in Kalimantan Utara Province in March 2022 was 49.46 thousand (6.77 percent). In September 2021 the number of poor people amounted to 49.49 thousand (6.83 percent), meaning that the number of poor people decreased by 0.03 thousand people or decreased by 0.06 percentage points.
  • During September 2021-March 2022, the poverty line (GK) rose by 5.83 percent, from Rp. 730,342,- per capita per month in September 2021 to Rp. 772,914,- per capita per month in March 2022.
  • In the period September 2021-March 2022, the Poverty Depth Index (P1) decreased, from 0.893 in September 2021 to 0.890 in March 2022. However, the Poverty Severity Index (P2) increased from 0.173 to 0.186.
  • In March 2022, the level of inequality in population spending as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.272. This figure decreases when compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2021.
  • In March 2022, the distribution of expenditures for the bottom 40 percent of the population is 24.07 percent. This means that population spending is still in the category of low inequality level.
