Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for star hotels and other accommodations in Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2021 was 29.34 percent or decreased by 0.35 points compared to the ROR in September 2021 which was recorded at 29.69 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for star hotels in Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2021 was 50.92 percent, a decrease of 7.17 points compared to September 2021 ROR which was 58.09 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) for non-star hotels/other accommodations in Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2021 was 22.41 percent, an increase of 2.00 points compared to September 2021 ROR which was 20.41 percent.
The number of foreign tourist visits in October 2021 was recorded at 31,535 visits, an increase of 4,049 visits compared to the previous month which reached 27,486 visits.
Cumulatively, the number of foreign tourists visiting Kalimantan Utara Province in the January – October 2021 period reached 278,568 visits, while during January – October 2020 it reached 338,289 visits.
Sea transportation passengers departing increased from 5,560 people to 13,402 people in October 2021. The number of goods loaded increased from 1,054,717 tons to 1,198,342 tons in October 2021.
The number of aircraft departing from the airport in Kalimantan Utara Province was recorded to have increased from 412 to 491 flights in October 2021. The number of departing passengers increased from 11,115 to 16,824 people in October 2021.
