Abstract

Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively strong the farmer's level of ability / purchasing power.
FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in February 2022 was 109.41 or decreased by 0.50 percent compared to FTT in January 2022. The decrease in FTT was caused by changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which was lower than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in February 2022, namely the Farmer Terms of Trade of Food Crops (NTPP) of 97.98; Horticultural Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 99.53; Farmer Terms of Trade for People Plantation Crops (NTPR) is 156.12 ; Livestock Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPT) is 105.16 and the Fishermen and Fish Cultivators Farmer Terms of Trade (NTNP) is 104.11.
The Agricultural Household Business Terms of Trade (NTUP) of Kalimantan Utara Province in February 2022 was 112.25, down 0.19 percent compared to the NTUP on previous month.
In February 2022 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Utara Province by 0.63 percent which was caused by an increase in the index in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group by 0.91 percent.
