Abstract

  • In January 2021, total commodity exports through the port in Kalimantan Utara Province reached US $ 79.32 million, a decrease of 10.36 percent compared to the conditions in December 2020 which reached US $ 88.49 million. The export value for the January 2021 period reached US $ 79.32 million or decreased by 7.24 percent compared to January in 2020.
  • The decline in exports in January 2021 compared to December 2020 was caused by a decrease in the value of the export value of the non-oil and gas goods group in the industrial sector by 67.00 percent.
  • The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2021 reached US $ 9.34 million or decreased compared to the import value in December 2020. When compared to the January 2020 period, the import value of North Kalimantan Province for the January 2021 period increased by 15.15 percent.
  • The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2020 was dominated by non-oil and gas goods, mainly industrial products.
  • The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2021 was a surplus of US $ 69.97 million, a decrease of 8.36 percent when compared to the trade balance in December 2020 which was a surplus of US $ 76.36 million.
