Abstract

  • In October 2019, total commodity exports through the port in Kaltara reached US $ 89.93 million, a decrease of 1.39 percent compared to the conditions in September 2019 which reached US $ 91.20 million. The value of exports in the January-October 2019 period reached US $ 862.70 million, down by 5.21 percent compared to January-October in 2018.
  • The decline in exports in October 2019 compared to September 2019 was caused by a decrease in exports of the non-oil and gas goods group in the mining products sector by 1.87 percent.
  • The value of imports of Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2019 reached US $ 2.20 million or an increase of 13.81 percent compared to imports in September 2019. When compared to the January-October 2018 period, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in the January-October 2019 period decreased by 27.50 percent.
  • The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2019 is dominated by non-oil and gas commodities, mainly the industrial products group.
  • The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2019 was a surplus of US $ 87.73 million, a decrease of 1.72 percent when compared to the trade balance in September 2019 which was a surplus of US $ 89.27 million.
