Tanjung Selor, May 15th 2022 - Advanced 2020 Population Census (SP2020) is a series of activities in the implementation of SP2020 which was carried out in 2020. This activity targets 4.3 million household samples throughout Indonesia with a long form mechanism covering more variables. The Advanced SP2020 is carried out to estimate the number, distribution, and composition of the population; obtain data for calculating demographic parameters (births, deaths, and migration); and the source of the data is the maternal mortality rate indicator.
To get maximum results in these activities, the BPS-Statistics of Bulungan Regency held training for Advanced SP2020 field officers in two batchs. The first batch will be on 9-11 May 2022 at the Grand Prince Khar Hotel with 3 classes. And, the second batch on 12-14 May 2022 at Hotel Luminor as many as 2 classes.
The training was attended by 79 candidates for Field Data Collection officers (PPL), 27 candidates for Team Coordinators (Kortim), and 9 candidates for the District Census Coordinator (Koseka) and 3 Regional Instructors (Inda).
With this Advanced SP2020 activity, it is expected to be able to provide data that will be used in calculating population projections, providing population and housing characteristics data, and data sources from population indicators for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
