Rice Tiles Based on KSA Subround II in Karang Agung Village

Saturday (10/7) BPS-Statistics of Bulungan Regency had the opportunity to do Tiling with PKL Students, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Borneo Tarakan.

Tiling is a survey activity that aims to collect data on the productivity of food crops, especially rice commodities. This activity is routinely carried out at the same time as the farmer's harvest time. This tile is important because rice productivity data is directly related to food security data.

There are 7 sample points that are tiled. Tile plot points are determined with the help of satellite imagery. The harvested area forecast is calculated using the Area Sample Framework (KSA) method. This KSA method combines a map of the standard area of rice fields from satellite imagery which is used as a sampling frame. After taking the rice plots, then threshing the results of the tiles followed by calculating the weight. In addition, don't forget to conduct interviews with farmers to get the characteristics of the rice plant business on the tiled plots.
